Durango, CO was amazing!
If you remember my last postcard, we had an awesome drive through Colorado's Wolf Pass from South Fork to Durango. When we arrived at the Hilton DoubleTree in Durango, I was really excited to go check things out. OMP!! I fell in love! Daddy told Sister he wished we could stay longer and skip Cortez! I agreed! Sister made things happen and it was a highlight of our 2026 Spring Adventure!

Hilton DoubleTree in Durango, CO was my favorite hotel this year! That riverwalk was amazing! The sniffs were plentiful ... the water sounds were soothing ... I got a pretty new collar and delicious elk snacks from a place called Pet Haus .... OMP elk snacks are so tasty ... life was good in Durango!
I could've stayed at the hotel and walked the riverwalk all day and night. Sister said that we needed to take a ride on the Million Dollar Highway at least to the town of Silverton. I'm so happy we did because it was amazing. I'll share some photos from the Million Dollar Highway.

On the drive from Durango to Silverton
Silverton, CO was such a fun time! I love it when Sister asks the shop owners if they are pet friendly and every single one of them says "yes, we are". I have very discerning taste and my herd sometimes needs to be nudged one way or the other ... how can I provide that assistance if I'm parked on a bench outside with one of my people?

Just when I thought the day couldn't possibly get better, we saw a moose right across the street from the moose sign as we left town! I was in the car behind glass and the moose was pretty far away ... so, I felt very comfortable giving that young moose "the business"! Then, we stopped at a waterfall that didn't have a place to park on our way to town .... amazing!! I really slept well that night in the bed back at the Hilton after several long walks along the river!

Don't tell anyone I said this, but that moose was sort of cute! Sister will post a video of the moose and the waterfall on my Instagram (@OnTheRoadWithLila) later.
Thanks for letting me tell you about my Durango to Silverton adventure! Appreciate you! Have a blessed day!
p.s. We didn't go to Ouray as planned because there was snow and the herd said it would be dangerous in a minivan. That's ok, I sniff out another adventure ... if Ouray is anything like Silverton, we'll love it when we come back!
