Magical Moab
I didn't want to leave my Zion White Bison Resort teepee but sister said we had to move on down the road to Moab. I usually don't like dust bowls. The first time I went to New Mexico, I was horrified there wasn't a single blade of grass for my tinkle time. As we approached the area, I was getting worried because it looked like a big dust bowl with more rocks. But no tee pee!
We drove through town to get to the KOA and I got really excited seeing other dogs shopping. Sister reminded me that I have multiple pair of boots and can still have fun in a hot dust bowl.
I was excited at this point and all in when we arrived at our Moab KOA cabin. It had a fence to keep other dogs out of our space! Sister said it was so I could run around and do my business in there. Gross, I'm not going to soil so close to the cabin! Besides, why would I want to skip walking all over the campground?

Doesn't my bed in the cabin look cozy with my special blankies? Sister and I had to sit in that big chair to relax after we all shopped until we dropped tee hee!
There was a lot to do around Moab so we spent three days adventuring! We really enjoyed Arches National Park. I felt bad because my people couldn't take the longer hikes since I couldn't go; however, they assured me that being with me and seeing what we could enjoy together was perfect. That made me feel warm and tingly inside because I feel the same way: the important moments in life are all about spending time with my herd, belly rubs, belly laughs and lots of tasty treats.

Arches was so much fun that we decided to try Canyonlands National Park. Honestly, car rides with my family can never be wrong. Well, out of town car rides never go wrong ... we don't go to the vet's office when out of town! From a few of the lookouts, we could see the winding green river. I like rivers, you may remember the Animas riverwalk at our hotel in Durango.

After Canyonlands, we decided to drive through Dead Horse Point State Park. It was amazing! If we had more time, we would've taken a long walk with amazing overlooks that started by the Visitor Center. It was very dog-friendly; alas, only so many hours in a day and I was hungry for my dinner. We had to get back for dinner. We did decide to return to the park to catch a sunset .... boy, did we!

Don't the colors pop? I loved watching the sunset! We really got a good view of the green river here!
We finished our time in Moab with a beautiful drive to and through the La Sal Mountain Loop. Can you believe we saw actual dinosaur tracks?! My imagination saw dinosaurs stomping up to the edge of the cliff and flying into the open space over the canyon. When the man on the car audio tour said the tracks were from before the earth shifted and the canyon formed, I was a little disappointed. While my version was better, stomping dinosaurs is still a fun thing to imagine!

Wow ... big dinosaur tracks!

La Sal might've been our favorite part of the Moab leg of our adventure .. and it was a spontaneous addition ... isn't that funny how the best things in life happen when you just loosen your harness and go with the flow?
I love my life. I love my herd. I love you as a member of my extended herd. I hope you enjoyed my thoughts on Moab. Remember to not judge a dust bowl upon first glance ... it might end up being full of adventure. Next time, I'll send you a postcard from our next stop on our 2026 Spring Adventure ... Vernal, Utah!
