We Went Looking for Bugs in Eureka Springs!
After booking the room, Carrie told me we were going to Eureka Springs to see a VW show and parade which would include some bugs. Bugs? Hold your horses! Whenever we arrive at a new place, Carrie and Mommy spend what seems like a lifetime making sure the room is bug-free. Daddy and I aren't even allowed to enter a room that hasn't been inspected and approved. You may recall me talking about a caboose that I quite liked but there were issues with it. Apparently, there were bugs in the bed and my herd completely unraveled to make sure none traveled with us (and they didn't!). It was quite an ordeal and the bug radar has noticeably increased when checking out a new accommodation. So, I was understandably confused at the idea that we would go looking for bugs! Don't worry—a bug is also a type of VW car!
We drove through Branson to get to Eureka Springs and had plenty of time before we could get into the house. It would be a crime to not stop and do a little shopping. We aren't criminals, so we did just that! We made a quick stop at the Amish Country Store and stocked up on my favorite treat, popcorn. Carrie thought it was funny to take the picture in front of the dog snacks since I prefer popcorn any day of the week. Whatever, as long as she bought the popcorn! I helped Daddy decide which of the two pairs of sneakers to buy–we got the fun red and black ones! I should've gone into the lululemon store with Carrie because she bought a pair of leggings in just about every color! She said she didn't, but I saw the bags! At least she won't have any excuse for not having appropriate clothing to walk me whenever I want.

We felt lucky to find accommodations meeting all our criteria. We ended up having to get two rooms in the house but it was ok–a quick walk down the hallway between rooms and there was a nice common area to gather, look out the windows, and relax. Can you believe Carrie was so rude to put boyish socks on me to enforce the "no biting the baby" rule?

A creepy cat was lurking around outside our car. Carrie said it was fine but I knew better! I kept a close eye and it stayed in check!
The walks on this trip were fantastic. Nice plants with so many calling cards! We found a special garden with a rock wall! We even walked from our house to do some shopping!
The most amazing sniffs came out of a place called Rogue's Manor. I was never allowed to enter. On Mommy's birthday, the herd was out of pocket for hours! Carrie had the nerve to show me the picture of her steak dinner and elaborate on how yummy it was! She didn't save even a nibble for her little sister! Rude!

There are lots of fun stores and restaurants in Eureka Springs and I highly suggest spending time there! Nelson's happens to be our favorite store. We always go in, and we always leave with multiple bags because they have a wide variety of good stuff. The best part of the store has to be the people, though! I'm pictured with my favorite sales lady and my Mommy (I love how happy my Mommy looks). It was hot that day and I wore my boots–everyone commented on how cute I was in my boots :-)

We had fun at the VW show except for being concerned about the baby on top of the VW bus (under the striped umbrella in the picture)!

Carrie and I started out on the porch but it got hot fast. So, Carrie started the car and settled me in my car seat with the A/C running before the parade started. I'm so glad she did!

I had the best time watching the parade!

Thanks for letting me tell you all about my fun weekend in Eureka Springs, Arkansas! Until my next postcard: be well, find a special room to gather with your favorite people, and go earn yourself some pretty beads! Bye!
