Giant City State Park in Makanda, IL
Camping is so much fun! My human sister (Carrie) makes so many yummy smells on the Blackstone! My sister and I love to get up extra early and walk the campground, then I enjoy my breakfast, sight-seeing and more walking/hiking. In the evening, nothing is better than sitting at our campsite with a warm campfire and lots of laughter. I'm all about herd bonding and this is a perfect way to spend time with one another and sometimes meet new friends because camping humans are generally very friendly. After a long day of camping, I get super sleepy and appreciate a nice bed. I thought Froggy's beds were perfect ... but now that we upgraded a couple of times, I understand that bigger is better when it comes to RVs and sleeping arrangements. My herd enjoyed a nice Fried Chicken dinner at the lodge near Giant City State Park; I had important car security work to do and didn't go inside. The best part of this particular trip was the amazing walking trails ... check out some of my favorite photo memories below.
Thanks for taking a hike down memory lane with me! I appreciate you and hope you enjoyed my postcard!
